Haeck to expand their milling department with a 5-axis machining center

In order for Haeck to better cater to customer requests from within and outside Valtech Group, they continue to invest in modernizing their equipment. The most recent purchase, an Ibarmia machining center with 3,000 mm bed, vertical swivel head and integrated rotary table 800 mm in diameter, is extremely suitable to perform 5-axis machining operations on both smaller and medium-sized pieces, but with only one clamping, five surfaces can be machined, which increases accuracy and reduces conversions drastically.

In addition, the machining department has been expanded with the addition of new staff and specialized CAD/CAM trainings. This has meant that the performance of bespoke items has been increased by 100% while batch production capacity remains guaranteed.

In this way, the milling and turning professional is preparing itself for the future, where high-mix/low-volume manufacturing and very short delivery times are rapidly becoming the standard.
